DEV-DIARIES

Dev Diary 2019-09-13

Well, I’m utterly exhausted after a week at HashiConf, but it ended up being so darn educational that I feel like I’ll regain that time pretty darn quickly.

A lot of the education has been on the Lisp front, but I needed something I could easily read on my phone. Enter Practical Common Lisp, which I had skimmed a bit a while back but can easily be enjoyed on a phone screen during bits of downtime. This book is doing a fine job at challenging my thoughts on how hard certain kinds of tasks are in Lisp (turns out systems programming isn’t awful), so I’m looking forward to finishing it along with the other 2 books.
